Banking transformation role
The employer is hiring experienced Business Analysts for a transformation programme at a financial institution in Qatar.
The role connects business and delivery teams, translating strategic objectives into clear, testable requirements that are built and adopted.
Analysts may be aligned to one business area and own requirements from initial workshops through UAT and go-live readiness.
Location and work setting
- The role is based on-site in Doha, Qatar.
Responsibilities
- Run workshops and stakeholder sessions to elicit, challenge, and document requirements.
- Produce BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and use cases with traceability, prioritisation, and acceptance criteria.
- Map current, interim, and target operating models and define necessary process and control changes.
- Set KPIs, baselines, and measurement logic with the business to evidence benefits.
- Analyse relevant banking processes and identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
- Pressure-test vendor and IT solution designs, surface risks and gaps, and recommend trade-offs.
- Own UAT test scripts, defect management, and evidence for go/no-go and adoption decisions.
- Align business, operations, product, and technology stakeholders throughout delivery.
Experience and qualifications
- Have 5 to 7+ years in business analysis, transformation, or consulting within a bank or financial institution.
- Bring structured requirements management, process mapping, and operating model design experience.
- Bring credible stakeholder presence and a working understanding of banking regulatory and governance constraints.
- Have depth in at least one listed banking or related domain: corporate banking, markets and treasury, wealth, credit and risk, banking operations and technology, or HR transformation.
- GCC markets experience is required; international markets exposure is advantageous.
Programme experience
Experience specifically on a bank transformation programme is strongly preferred.
