About the Role
The Sales Manager (Jewellery Field) will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing effective sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets within the luxury or fine Jewellery sector.
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of dedicated experience in Jewellery sales, a strong understanding of market trends, and a proven ability to manage and motivate a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- **Sales Strategy & Execution:**
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales goals and revenue targets (e.g., monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and client consultation to final sale and after-sales follow-up.
- **Team Leadership & Management:**
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales staff (Sales Associates, Senior Associates) to consistently exceed individual and team targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for sales personnel.
- Ensure the team maintains a high standard of product knowledge, especially regarding materials, diamonds/gemstones, craftsmanship, and brand history.
- **Client Relationship Management (CRM):**
- Foster and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with VIP and high-net-worth clients.
- Handle high-value transactions and resolve complex customer issues to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
- Develop strategies for client retention and expanding the existing client base through personalized service and outreach.
- **Inventory & Operations:**
- Collaborate with the Merchandising and Operations teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure optimal stock levels of key collections.
- Ensure all sales operations comply with company policies, security procedures, and ethical standards regarding precious materials.
- Manage and control the sales budget, including expenses for team incentives and client events.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- **Experience:** **3 to 4 years of proven sales experience in the fine or luxury jewellery industry is mandatory.**
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- **Skills:**
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills to interpret sales performance metrics.
- Proficiency in retail management software and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).
- Knowledge of gemology (GIA certification or similar is a strong asset).
- **Personal Attributes:**
- A professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting a luxury brand environment.
- High ethical standards and integrity in handling valuable merchandise and client data.
- Must be results-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure.
