Job Description: Bartender & Mixology Trainer
Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time
Role Objective
We are looking for a high-energy, expert Bartender Trainer to lead our beverage education programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming aspiring students into professional mixologists and bartenders capable of working in Dubai’s world-class lounges, hotels, and high-volume bars. You will focus on the "theatre" of bartending, technical precision, and beverage knowledge.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Mixology & Bar Skills
- Practical Training: Instruction on free-pouring, jiggering, shaking, stirring, and muddling techniques.
- Cocktail Theory: Teaching the "Seven Classic Cocktails" and their variations, including the history of spirits and modern molecular mixology.
- Garnish & Presentation: Training on advanced garnishing techniques, glassware selection, and the "theatre" of service.
2. Beverage Knowledge & Management
- Product Knowledge: Conducting tasting and theory sessions on spirits (Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Whiskey, Rum), liqueurs, beers, and wine.
- Bar Operations: Teaching back-bar organization (mise-en-place), stock control, inventory management, and opening/closing checklists.
- Health & Safety: Ensuring students master Dubai’s hygiene standards and the responsible service of alcohol.
3. Customer Experience & Soft Skills
- Training students on guest engagement, upselling techniques, and handling difficult situations at the bar.
- Focusing on speed of service without compromising on quality or cleanliness.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Industry Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in high-end cocktail bars or 5-star hotel bars. Experience as a Head Bartender or Bar Manager is a plus.
- Training Background: Proven ability to coach and mentor staff; prior vocational training experience is highly valued.
- Certifications: WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 or higher is preferred.
- Skills: Expert knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and beverage cost control.
- Personal Traits: Outgoing personality, excellent public speaking skills, and a "lead by example" work ethic.
