The role
The AWS Pre-Sales Consultant is a technical advisor responsible for driving AWS cloud adoption and business growth within the MEA market. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical AWS solutions, leading the technical discovery, design, and proposal phases of the sales cycle with a strong emphasis on financial efficiency.Key Responsibilities* Opportunity Qualification: Assess and qualify new AWS leads to ensure technical, commercial, and financial viability.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with Technical Architects to design robust, cost-effective AWS solutions (Infrastructure, Data & AI, and App Modernization).
- FinOps & Cost Optimization: Lead discussions on cloud financial management; identify opportunities for cost savings through rightsizing, architectural improvements, and leveraging AWS pricing models.
- Sales Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end technical sales process, including RFPs, custom proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver high-impact presentations and technical demos to C-level executives (CFO/CTO) emphasizing the economic value of cloud migration.
- Technical Advocacy: Conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews with a focus on the Cost Optimization pillar to ensure long-term customer success.
- Commercial Modeling: Develop accurate service and cost models showing ROI, TCO, and business impact for local clients. #lieos
What we need to see from you Technical Competencies* AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS), CloudFront, WAF, and specialized areas like Containerization (EKS/ECS) or Data/AI.
- Cloud FinOps: Mastery of cloud financial management tools and practices (AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, Compute Optimizer, and Budgets).
- Cost Optimization: Proven ability to optimize spend using Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, and storage tiering strategies.
- Market Insight: Understanding of the public cloud landscape in KSA and regional regulatory/compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements* Experience: Proven track record in technology pre-sales, strategic cloud consulting, or Cloud FinOps roles.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) is highly preferred; FinOps Practitioner certification is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; ability to translate complex financial and technical data into actionable business insights.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a significant advantage for the Middle East market.
