Overview

This role assists the Branch Manager to supervise the Motor department, servicing key accounts, overseeing functions of developing new business and generally contributing to the smooth and efficient running of Motor department of the Sharjah Branch.

1. Renewal Management & Retention

  • Ensuring highest retention of all Motor renewals. The key functions would include overseeing renewal processes and ensuring full compliance with established procedures and timelines, to ensure maximum retention.

2. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Lead new business development initiatives for the Motor department and contribute to overall branch growth by identifying and converting opportunities within the pipeline, negotiating with insurers and clients to secure new business.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of target accounts, including lost, non-materialized, and referral business from existing accounts.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, ensuring clients are provided with appropriate advice and options on covering their risks.
  • Ensure 100% achievement of departmental revenue targets.
  • Provide support to the Business Development team, as required.

3. Key Stakeholder Management

  • Manage key client accounts, ensuring renewal retention and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality service and technical support to all clients.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with insurers at all levels to secure competitive terms and broader coverage for clients, to support new business acquisition efforts and to stay updated on market developments.

4. Operations & Process Excellence

  • Support the Branch Manager in implementing systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and to review existing processes periodically to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a high degree of accuracy in policy documentation and timely issuance.
  • Maintain high standards of systems, efficiency, and professionalism.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Ensure team members are adequately trained in their respective roles and monitor performance regularly. Continuously update technical and market knowledge for self and team
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and maintain high levels of motivation and morale within the team.

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to the compliance manual and oversee its regular updates.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed SLAs and applicable regulatory requirements.

7. Projects & Continuous Development

  • Undertake additional responsibilities, including specific projects, business development initiatives, and portfolio reviews, as assigned.
