Role scope

Workshop leadership and operations

• Direct daily garage operations, set shop-floor priorities, and supervise the workshop foreman and mechanical staff.
• Enforce job-card discipline, track turnaround times, and maintain fleet uptime targets; coordinate intake and release schedules with the Fleet Supervisor.
• Oversee tools, bay organization, safety protocols, and proper disposal of hazardous fluids and scrap.

Technical execution and diagnostics

• Perform advanced diagnostics using OBD scan tools and live data, and diagnose wiring faults and engine or transmission failures.
• Lead complex overhauls, timing work, and teardowns hands-on when needed.
• Conduct road tests and final quality sign-offs on major repairs before vehicles return to service.
• Implement preventive maintenance inspection checklists to prevent roadside breakdowns.

Parts and quality control

• Vet parts requests and specify OEM or aftermarket part numbers to prevent incorrect procurement.
• Inspect failed components to determine root causes and report patterns to management; verify received parts for fit and quality.
• Inspect vehicles scheduled for RTA annual registration renewal to support first-time passes.

Requirements

• At least 8 to 10 years of professional mechanical repair experience, including at least 3 years managing a multi-bay workshop or commercial fleet garage.
• Ability to perform diagnostics, engine repairs, gearbox overhauls, suspension, and vehicle AC and electrical work.
• Strong background with Japanese and Asian vehicle platforms, including Toyota, Nissan, or Isuzu.
• Leadership ability to enforce quality control and labor productivity while remaining willing to perform repairs.
• Valid UAE manual driving license and strong command of English.
