AutoCAD Draftsman

Job purpose

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and schematics, including architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and as-built drawings as needed.
• Interpret sketches, specifications, calculations, and design concepts; revise drawings for project changes, site conditions, and client requirements.
• Conduct site visits when required to collect measurements and verify information.
• Check drawings against codes, standards, and project specifications; maintain document control and revision records.
• Coordinate technical details with engineers, architects, contractors, and project teams.
• Prepare shop, fabrication, and construction drawings where applicable.
• Support project documentation, presentations, technical reports, timely drawing updates, and technical assistance.
• Archive completed drawings and maintain an organized drawing database.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman.
• AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory.
• BIM, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software experience is an advantage.
• Construction, facilities management, infrastructure, or fit-out project experience is preferred.

Skills and competencies

• Advanced AutoCAD drafting skills and strong understanding of engineering and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of technical standards, codes, and drafting practices; ability to interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management.
• Communication and teamwork abilities; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Pay

• AED 8,000–10,000 per month.

• Work is in person.
