Qualifications and experience
- A relevant diploma or technical certificate from an accredited technical institution, or relevant training from a certified provider.
- At least five years of relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diagnostic equipment and wiring diagrams.
- Good communication skills in English are required; Arabic is advantageous.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries is preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation to identify faults and determine repairs.
- Install, maintain and repair wiring harnesses, control modules, alternators, starters, lighting systems and sensors.
- Diagnose, program, code and calibrate ECUs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair CAN bus networks, driver-assistance systems, and hybrid and electric vehicle electrical systems where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
- Test repairs to verify system performance, reliability and safety.
- Maintain diagnostic reports, service records and repair documentation; coordinate findings, timelines and parts with service and workshop teams.
- Maintain workshop tools and diagnostic equipment, follow quality and safety procedures, and keep technical knowledge current.
