HLB HAMT Chartered Accountants is seeking an experienced Audit Manager for its Audit & Assurance team in Dubai, UAE.
The role manages audit engagements and teams and requires strong UAE external audit experience and technical knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and finalize external audit engagements in accordance with ISA and IFRS.
- Lead audit teams and supervise senior, associate, and junior team members.
- Review audit working papers, financial statements, and audit documentation.
- Manage client relationships and act as the key contact for audit matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate audit procedures are performed.
- Deliver engagements within agreed timelines and quality standards; provide technical guidance and training to team members.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and VAT requirements.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to business development.
Requirements
- CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong UAE external audit experience in a professional accounting or audit firm.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Experience managing multiple audit engagements and teams.
- Strong client management, communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced professional services environment.
