Job Summary

About the Company

Audit and Assurance

• Assist in planning and executing external audits using applicable auditing standards and firm methodologies.
• Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, vouching, verification, reconciliation, and audit fieldwork.
• Review financial transactions, account balances, supporting documents, and accounting records.
• Test internal controls, identify risks, obtain audit evidence, and prepare audit working papers.
• Assist with financial statements and audit reports and communicate discrepancies or control deficiencies.

Accounting and Financial Analysis

• Review accounting records and assess whether transactions are appropriately recorded.
• Perform ledger scrutiny and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial statements and investigate significant or unusual movements.
• Assist in reviewing profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, and supporting schedules.

Tax and Regulatory Exposure

• Assist with audit procedures involving UAE VAT and Corporate Tax-related financial information where applicable.
• Maintain awareness of UAE accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the identification of tax or compliance matters arising during audit engagements.

Client Coordination

• Request financial records, schedules, confirmations, and other audit information from clients.
• Maintain professional relationships with client finance teams and management.
• Participate in client meetings and follow up on outstanding audit requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of client financial and business information.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant audit experience and UAE audit experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, auditing procedures, financial statements, and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax is preferred.
• Accounting software experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, SAP, or similar systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, numerical, documentation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Location and Work Arrangement

• The position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• Work location is in person, with travel to client locations within the UAE when required.
• The advertised pay starts at AED 4,000 per month.
