Objective
Ensure products or systems meet defined quality standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect products and execute test cases to validate functionality and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Maintain quality control processes and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
- Verify fixes with regression testing and maintain test, defect, and quality records.
- Improve testing strategies, quality assurance practices, and product efficiency.
- Review requirements for testability and clarity; report quality status to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and best practices.
Technical Skills
- Five or more years of software testing or related experience.
- Experience with manual test case design and execution.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or REST clients and database testing using basic SQL.
- Basic-to-intermediate automation testing experience.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla and test management tools such as Zephyr.
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC, cross-browser and cross-platform testing, and Android/iOS mobile testing.
Qualifications and Behavioral Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable and able to learn new processes and technologies quickly.
