Ensure products or systems meet defined quality standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and execute test cases to validate functionality and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes and perform regression testing.
- Support quality control processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain test results, defect records, and quality metrics; report status and provide timely stakeholder feedback.
- Improve testing strategies and quality assurance practices, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Participate in requirement reviews to improve clarity and testability.
Technical skills
- At least one year of software testing or related experience; manual test case and scenario design and execution.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
- API testing using tools such as Postman or REST clients; basic SQL for database validation and queries.
- Basic to intermediate automation testing; experience with test management tools such as Zephyr.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC; cross-browser, cross-platform, and Android/iOS mobile testing experience.
Qualifications and behavioral skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adaptable and able to learn new processes and technologies.
