Associate Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support NPD, VAVE, NTP, and Quality and Reliability projects for Unitary HVAC platforms, focusing on airflow and structural subsystems.
• Collaborate with global project owners and Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and supplier teams to execute projects.
• Help achieve project milestones within quality, delivery, project cost, and product cost targets.
• Support concept development, design calculations, HVAC component selection, and system integration.
• Create and release engineering designs, drawings, bills of materials, and specifications using PLM/PDM tools.
• Perform DFMEA and support test plans, failure mode analysis, engineering builds, and testing.
• Use data analytics and visualization for project reporting and decision-making.
• Support supplier qualification, sourcing, and business continuity initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvement, patentable solutions, and technical papers or presentations.

Standards and tools

• Design and system integration should align with DOE, AHRI, ASHRAE, UL, and AMCA standards.
• Examples of analytics and visualization tools include Tableau, Google Cloud Platform, and Dataiku.
