Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and tools that make data accessible across the organization.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product teams, and business stakeholders to turn business requirements into reliable solutions for a digital bank.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BigQuery and Vertex AI lakehouse solutions, balancing performance, cost, and analytics needs.
- Lead streaming, batch, and API data pipeline design and development.
- Support regulatory compliance, reporting, and self-service analytics; maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Establish pipeline monitoring, logging, and alerting; conduct code reviews and improve development processes.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and enable secure data sharing through marketplaces, catalogs, and lineage.
- Document solutions, mentor data engineers, and enforce departmental controls and information security practices.
Experience and qualifications
- 10+ years designing and implementing data pipelines on Google Cloud or other public cloud platforms.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud technologies, including BigQuery, Data Fusion, Dataform, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Dataplex, Dataproc, and Analytics Hub.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and privacy by design.
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification and a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university are listed as preferred qualifications.
- Technical capabilities include requirements analysis and data pipeline development; behavioral capabilities include collaboration, communication, and problem solving.
