Associate Accountant

Role overview

Key activities

• Analyse balance sheet accounts monthly and track, maintain, and follow up on control accounts.
• Liaise with operational departments and provide information.
• Process the UK VAT return and prepare monthly revenue accruals.
• Prepare accurate reports, including weekly and monthly reports, in a timely manner.
• Resolve queries with team members and internal and external departments; raise documentation issues with the manager.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
• Follow the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies and report possible violations or conflicts of interest when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a finance environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP or a similar finance package.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, organisational and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Able to build positive business relationships, take a proactive approach, and work independently and as part of a team.
