The Associate Broker processes low-value shipment customs clearance information under Canadian customs regulations.
Responsibilities
- Determine which of three generic harmonized codes can be used for simple low-value shipments.
- Process clearance information for customers with or without a designated broker.
- Transmit low-value shipment customs entries within service-standard timeframes.
- Enter clearance information into the system using commercial invoices or customer database data.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Quebec-based incumbents must be bilingual in English and French.
- Good mathematical and computer aptitude is preferred.
- Basic Excel skills and a minimum 25 words-per-minute alphanumeric data-entry speed are preferred.
Assignment
- Temporary assignment for up to 12 months.
Workplace
- The position is onsite.
