Assistant Sales Manager role in Sales & Marketing, supporting guest service, reservations, revenue, and team standards.
Sales and guest support
- Resolve guest calls, requests, and problems by contacting appropriate individuals or departments.
- Use sales techniques and upselling to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty; provide appropriate complimentary rewards.
- Promote brand awareness and process Marriott Rewards redemption requests.
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail, and enter rewards information into the appropriate software.
- Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
Administration and team support
- Perform filing, email, typing, faxing, and other general office duties for Sales & Marketing.
- Assist management in training and motivating employees and serve as a role model.
- Monitor performance to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Maintain professional guest and employee relationships and communicate clearly and appropriately.
Qualifications
- At least two years of related work experience.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified as required; no license or certification is specified.
Schedule and workplace
