Role Overview

Qualifications and Experience

• A Ph.D. in Accounting from a reputable university is required.
• Two or more years of teaching experience in an internationally reputable university are required.
• Candidates should demonstrate excellence in developing and teaching accounting courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Candidates should have expertise in Managerial Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related courses.
• An outstanding record of research and peer-reviewed publications in reputable Accounting or related journals is required.
• A record of supervising student projects and dissertations is required.
• An excellent record of professional and community service is required.
• Professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA are preferred.
• Collaborative and interdisciplinary research experience is advantageous.
• Professional Accounting experience is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related areas.
• Use innovative and technology-based approaches to teaching and learning.
• Provide academic advising services to students.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish research outcomes in reputable journals and conferences.
• Participate in committee and other service tasks at department, college, or university level.
• Promote the growth and visibility of Ajman University.
• Provide consultancy and other industry-facing services to university partners and business-community members.
• Perform other assigned job-related duties.
