Assistant Operator, Slickline

Role purpose

Operational duties

• Assist with equipment rig-up according to accepted procedures and coordinate with third parties to support job execution.
• Collect and record relevant data; use weight indicator gauges and depth counters to monitor slickline tension and depth.
• Support on-site emergency equipment maintenance and maintain tools and safety gear in working condition.
• Report hazards, incidents and injuries immediately, attend weekly safety meetings, and follow applicable operational and technical standards.
• Keep the work area clean and complete maintenance jobs within assigned time standards; inform the Maintenance Supervisor if additional resources are needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and provide field data and input for progress reports, method statements and near-miss reports.
• Provide on-the-job training for competency-based training programs supporting UAE Nationalization.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operators, other department team leaders and clients about slickline services and HSE matters.

Qualifications and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent computer skills.

• Comply with applicable UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice, HSE policies, procedures and controls.
