Job purpose

Explosive operations

• Handle, transport, and store explosives and detonating devices according to established safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare explosive charges and detonating systems for wellbore operations; execute deployment and detonation according to operational plans and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with the logging services team and comply with UAE, ADNOC, client, and asset-integrity codes of practice.

General duties and HSE

• Follow functional policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures; provide on-the-job training for competency-based training programmes.
• Maintain tools, safety gear, and equipment in working condition; arrange repair or replacement as needed and complete maintenance jobs within assigned time standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement; support HSE and sustainability requirements and maintain a clean, tidy work environment.
• Collect field data for progress reports and provide input to method statements and near-miss reports.

Minimum qualifications and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in explosives handling or a related field; oil and gas experience is preferred.
• Explosives handling and safety certification or training is highly desirable; familiarity with wireline logging and equipment is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety, good communication and teamwork, and physical fitness for challenging outdoor and offshore environments.
