Job purpose

Wireline operations and equipment

• Drive wireline trucks and light vehicles between base camp and other locations.
• Rig up and rig down wireline equipment and tools.
• Check that the crossover is correctly selected and sized for the X-Tree.
• Complete on-site operational checklists and check wireline-unit hydraulic oil and fluid levels.
• Place safety equipment and signboards at the work location; verify crew HSE passports before workshop departure.
• Attend job briefings and debriefings with the supervisor and keep the work area tidy and unobstructed.
• Connect and disconnect pressure control equipment before and after wireline operations.
• Maintain truck inventory and ensure tools are ready to run; check the smart monitor operating system and report deficiencies.
• Coordinate equipment testing, certification, and inspection; follow up on monthly truck and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain the wireline truck, replacement tools, and truck file; follow road and site safety rules.
• Record wire log sheets and prepare final client reports, daily wireline reports, and company and client checklists.

General accountabilities

• Implement applicable functional policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training for Competency Based Training programs supporting UAE Nationalization.
• Identify opportunities to improve operating procedures and functional processes.
• Support HSE culture, comply with relevant safety and environmental requirements, and help protect asset integrity.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and provide inputs to management progress reports and KPI checklists.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma in a technical field.
• At least five years of experience as an operator in a professional logging company.
• Good knowledge of basic tool checking, hydraulics, and safety procedures.
• Completion of all HSE courses required for logging operations.
• Good spoken and written English.
