We are hiring an
Assistant Manager – Reinsurance
for one of our clients, a leading insurance company in the UAE.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced reinsurance professional with expertise in treaty and facultative reinsurance, reinsurance recoveries, treaty administration, and stakeholder management within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration, renewal, and optimization of treaty and facultative reinsurance programs.
- Coordinate treaty renewals with reinsurers and brokers while monitoring treaty utilization and retention levels.
- Manage facultative reinsurance placements, negotiate terms, and recommend optimal placement structures.
- Coordinate reinsurance recoveries, claims support, and reconciliation activities.
- Prepare reinsurance reports, bordereaux, financial reconciliations, and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers, underwriting, finance, claims, and risk teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACII, ARe, CII, or equivalent are an advantage.
- 5–8 years of insurance experience, including at least 3 years in reinsurance operations, treaty administration, facultative placements, or reinsurance accounting.
- Experience within the UAE or GCC insurance market is preferred.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance, underwriting, claims, and reinsurance accounting processes.
- Familiarity with UAE insurance regulations and market practices.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with insurance core systems and reinsurance platforms is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
