Assistant Manager - Ecommerce & Marketplace Merchandiser

will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial success of the brand in all its digital platforms.

The role encompasses strategic revenue growth, data-driven demand forecasting, and rigorous inventory management ensuring that the right products are available at the right time.

1. Marketplace growth & Revenue

I.

The Marketplace merchandiser would be responsible for the overall growth and revenue on marketplaces

II.

Ensure that the current marketplaces which Damas works with grow year on year

III.

Identify new marketplaces for growth which align with the Damas’ brand

2. Demand Planning & Projection

  • I.
  • Lead the Marketplace revenue & growth planning by
  • Replenishment planning & projection: Accurately forecasting SKUs which have sales history based on rate of sale and seasonality
  • New product planning: Identifying New SKUs which can succeed on the marketplaces by identifying the attributes of the products which are doing well on MPs
  • Liquidation Planning: Identify styles which can be pushed for liquidation at opportune times

II. Forecasting & Re- Forecasting

  • Share the weekly sales history with the larger merchandising team
  • Re-forecast on a weekly level based on the sales history for the previous week - ensure seasonality is being captured

3. Assortment Planning & OTB Management

  • I.
  • Provide inputs for OTB to the merchandising team
  • II.
  • Identify which styles to push to the marketplaces based on
  • Sales history
  • Seasonality
  • Attribute mapping (Price, Article, Raw material, etc)
  • III.
  • Work with the merchandising team to manage the OTBs
  • Calculate weekly / Monthly OTBs and work with the merchandising team to place it
  • Track the shipments till it gets into the WH
  • Allocate the products to the e-com + MP WH and then manage movement from them to Marketplaces

4. Vendor Management

I.

Manage Relationships with the different vendors

II.

Run Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly reviews with the vendors and figure out ways to grow

5. Marketplace Operations

  • I.
  • Responsible for Managing Invoicing, billing, and reconciliation of all the marketplaces
  • II.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the stores to pull stock and send it to the Marketplaces if needed.
  • Stock pulled out from the store would be the responsibility of the Marketplace merchandiser
  • They would have to reach out to the stores post-coordination with the merchandising team, and vice versa
  • Responsible for coordinating with the SCM & Procurement team to ensure that packaging and products are moved to the marketplaces
  • Ensure products identified for movement are moved to the marketplaces by the SCM team
  • Ensure packaging material is moved to the marketplaces by the procurement team
  • III.
  • Responsible for managing all the paperwork related to the movement of goods, billing, listing, invoicing, etc.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising
