About This Role

Job Purpose The Assistant Manager, Cloud Platforms is responsible for supporting the operational management of the organization’s cloud infrastructure platforms and related services. The role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of cloud environments supporting enterprise applications, digital services, and infrastructure workloads.

The position focuses primarily on cloud platform administration, hybrid infrastructure integration, and automation of cloud environments. The role also supports domain and DNS management services that enable enterprise cloud platforms and digital services. The position collaborates closely with infrastructure, identity, network, and security teams to ensure cloud services operate reliably and align with organizational architecture and operational standards.

Job Specific Accountabilities Cloud Infrastructure Operations

• Support operational administration of enterprise cloud infrastructure platforms supporting organizational systems and services.
• Ensure stable operation of cloud compute, storage, and networking services used by enterprise applications and infrastructure workloads.
• Maintain operational health and availability of cloud infrastructure environments

Cloud Platform Administration

• Manage provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud resources including compute, networking, and storage services.
• Support operational management of cloud environments hosting enterprise workloads.
• Ensure proper governance and operational maintenance of cloud infrastructure services

Infrastructure Automation & IaC

• Support implementation and operational use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies for deployment and management of cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain automated infrastructure templates and configurations to support consistent cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to improve automation and efficiency of cloud platform operations

Hybrid Infrastructure Integration

• Support integration of cloud platforms with on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Maintain hybrid connectivity services linking enterprise infrastructure with cloud environments.
• Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless connectivity and service availability.

Domain & DNS Management

• Support administration of enterprise domain services and DNS platforms supporting cloud services and enterprise applications.
• Manage DNS configurations and records required for cloud platforms, SaaS integrations, and enterprise systems.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, identity, and security teams to ensure domain and DNS services align with operational and security standards.

Cloud Resource Management

• Monitor cloud resource usage, performance, and capacity to ensure efficient platform operations.
• Support optimization of cloud resource utilization and operational efficiency.
• Assist with cloud cost monitoring and resource governance activities

SaaS Platform Support

• Support operational management of SaaS platforms used within the organization when required.
• Ensure SaaS platforms integrate effectively with enterprise infrastructure and identity services

Cross-Team Operational Support

• Collaborate with other members of the Infrastructure & Platforms team to support operational activities when required.
• Provide cross-functional support across infrastructure, cloud, and identity services to ensure operational continuity.

Operational Documentation

• Maintain Cloud infrastructure documentation including configuration standards, operational procedures, and technical runbooks.
• Support development of operational documentation to improve cloud infrastructure service management

Incident & Operational Support

• Investigate and resolve incidents affecting cloud infrastructure services.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring cloud service disruptions

Monitoring & Operational Maintenance

• Monitor cloud infrastructure platforms to ensure service availability and operational stability.
• Perform routine operational maintenance and maintain documentation related to cloud infrastructure services.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with infrastructure, identity, and network teams to ensure cloud services integrate effectively with enterprise systems.
• Support internal stakeholders to maintain reliable cloud services for enterprise applications and digital platforms.
