Assistant Manager

Role overview

Sales and client development

• Drive personal and team sales toward monthly and annual targets.
• Support client development strategies for VIP and UHNW segments; build and maintain a personal client book.
• Plan and execute client events, private viewings, and boutique activations with the Boutique Manager.
• Deliver tailored client service, maintain accurate client records, and follow up to identify re-engagement and acquisition opportunities.

Operations and team support

• Assume responsibility for boutique operations in the Boutique Manager’s absence and maintain performance and presentation standards.
• Support coaching and development of junior team members.
• Oversee inventory, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with operational, security, and administrative procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of luxury or high-jewelry retail experience, with demonstrated sales achievement and client relationship management.
• Existing UAE client following and a track record of cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
• Strong fine-jewelry and precious-gemstone product knowledge; familiarity with heritage jewelry houses is advantageous.
• Ability to support and motivate a boutique team and maintain standards in the Boutique Manager’s absence.
• Strong organization and proactive approach to operations, inventory, and boutique presentation.
• Impeccable personal presentation, refined interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity across Abu Dhabi’s diverse client base.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; Arabic language skills are a distinct advantage.

Workplace

• Based at David Webb’s Abu Dhabi boutique at The Grove, Saadiyat Island.
• Relocation will not be provided.
