The Assistant Director of Human Resources supports the Director of HR in leading the full HR function, ensuring the delivery of people strategies that drive engagement, performance, retention, and operational excellence.
The role partners with department heads across the property to provide hands-on HR generalist support across talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee wellbeing, and compliance with UAE labor law and Group policy.
The incumbent will deputize for the Director of HR in their absence and play a key role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field; CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience within luxury or upper-upscale hospitality, including at least 2–3 years in a senior HR Manager or Assistant Director role.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE labor law, immigration, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience working with international hotel operators is highly desirable.
- Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
- GCC experience strongly preferred; UAE experience is essential.

- Strong business acumen with the ability to link HR initiatives to commercial outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in HRIS platforms (Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and spoken English is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
