Supports smooth and efficient food and beverage department operations.
Manages kitchen attendant scheduling, checks hygiene in outlets, and assists the Chief Steward with inventory and requisitions.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule kitchen attendants and help prepare and post weekly stewarding schedules that reflect business needs and performance indicators.
- Check outlet hygiene, clean kitchens, and order kitchen cleaning supplies.
- Monitor crockery and cutlery inventory and communicate with kitchen colleagues.
- Support department objectives and culinary philosophy; represent the company positively with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Follow UAE laws and health, safety, environmental, industry, and company rules; report safety concerns and follow emergency procedures.
Essential qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- One to two years in the same role, or four years as a steward or kitchen helper in a five-star hotel or similar setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal English, attention to detail, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable qualifications
- College Diploma in food services or culinary arts.
- Three to four years’ experience as an Assistant Chief Steward.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
