Role mission

Store and team management

• Oversee merchandising, financial management, and store operations to achieve sales performance goals.
• Manage daily operations of a medium- to large-sized store, optimizing front-end, back-end, and sales-floor activity.
• Identify team development needs, implement development actions, and provide coaching or informal training.
• Create work schedules, coordinate across teams, and manage and report team performance, objectives, accountability, and corrective actions.
• Communicate the function’s strategy and business plan to the team and motivate members to achieve local objectives.

Customers and commercial activity

• Develop responses and next steps for common customer issues.
• Configure product and service solutions and contractual terms, present proposals, and negotiate within commercial parameters.
• Develop budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues and define order-processing protocols.
• Set sales-call objectives, tailor presentations, assess customer requirements, and identify account-growth opportunities.
• Build relationships with decision-makers and influencers at complex potential customer accounts to support information flow and issue resolution.

Compliance

• Monitor health, safety, and environment KPIs, address noncompliance, and improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s diversity and inclusion guidelines.

Qualifications and experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent level.
• Substantial general work experience and comprehensive job-related experience in the area of expertise.
• Experience planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives set by senior managers.
