Assemble and test mechanical or hydraulic-pneumatic components.
Complete assembly and testing in a timely manner while complying with NOV procedures.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics, and hydraulic drawings.
- Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic-pneumatic components using machines and hand or power tools.
- Install finished assemblies and attach functional or cosmetic hardware.
- Perform functional and continuity tests; start up equipment systems and troubleshoot or repair issues.
- Prioritize work based on production schedules and move materials and reports to the next stage.
- Follow supervisor instructions and comply with company and HSE procedures and policies.
Facility and production duties
- Produce items according to drawings, work orders, and production plans.
- Inspect, clean, and install parts and components according to drawings and specifications; keep components clean throughout assembly.
- Follow work-order routing and procedures; drill and tap holes and attach brackets or guards as specified.
- Install piping, hoses, tubing, spools, and valves using proper torque and tightening procedures.
- Inspect installed parts for fit and performance and verify compliance.
- Check inspection-tool calibration dates and record results in the required formats.
- Update work-order status in the ERP system or on the work order.
- Work flexible shifts and changing schedules.
Qualifications
- ITI/NCTVT with 5 years of experience, or a diploma with 2 years of experience.
- Assembly and pressure-testing experience; oil and gas equipment experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English, with effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
