The Performance Analyst helps the Area and organization understand performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support evidence-based decisions.
The role transforms complex data into actionable insight and helps colleagues interpret and use performance information.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Produce reports, dashboards, and visualizations within specified timeframes.
- Communicate insights to different audiences using clear explanations and data storytelling.
- Validate data and ensure outputs meet quality-assurance standards.
- Guide non-analytical colleagues in interpreting data and using insights confidently.
Essential experience
- Experience undertaking analysis, providing insight, and producing clear graphical representations and data visualizations.
- Experience presenting analysis and insight to non-technical audiences to enable evidence-based, data-driven decisions.
Desirable experience
- Basic mathematics, Excel formulas, or similar practical knowledge is desirable but not required.
- CPS, Criminal Justice System, or other operational performance experience is desirable but not required.
- GSS, GORs, or equivalent membership is desirable but not required.

- Permanent position; full-time, part-time, job-share, and flexible working patterns are listed.
Benefits
- Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%.
- The stated salary range is £37,615–£39,885, plus a £1,050 St Albans RRA.
