Hands-on Area Manager role leading a diverse team in fulfillment center operations.
Work with colleagues to maintain business pace, productivity, and smooth operations.
Key responsibilities
- Promote safety and wellbeing.
- Analyze performance and implement corrective actions to sustain quality and productivity and meet business objectives across shifts.
- Lead and support the team, handle administrative tasks, and build a strong team culture.
- Recommend process improvements to optimize work and customer service.
- Collaborate with managers to standardize shift processes.
- Maintain site safety standards and process efficiency; handle daily operational tasks, escalations, improvements, and contingency planning.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets.
- Review data and performance metrics with business leaders and discuss technical improvements with engineers.
Basic qualifications
- At least 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or at least 2 years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, shift, and work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques is preferred.
Schedule
- The role involves working shifts.
