Architectural Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural and engineering projects from initiation through final delivery.
• Lead and coordinate architectural design teams and multidisciplinary consultants.
• Review architectural drawings, detailed designs, specifications, and project deliverables.
• Review and understand structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety drawings.
• Ensure full coordination between architectural and engineering disciplines.
• Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and missing information before issuing drawings.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical proposals, and method statements.
• Prepare and manage detailed project schedules, including activities, durations, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and identify delays or risks.
• Prepare schedule updates, progress reports, recovery plans, and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and internal project teams.
• Manage building permit requirements, authority submissions, approvals, and related follow-up procedures.
• Ensure project designs comply with the Saudi Building Code, local regulations, and relevant authority requirements.
• Lead technical and progress meetings and follow up on required actions.
• Review site works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Ensure all project documents are complete, coordinated, and issued according to the required quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design and project management.
• Previous experience within engineering consultancy firms is strongly preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of complete architectural and engineering drawing packages.
• Good knowledge of structural, MEP, fire and life safety systems.
• Proven ability to review and coordinate multidisciplinary drawings.
• Ability to identify technical errors, design conflicts, and coordination issues.
• Strong experience in detailed drawings, construction documents, and site coordination.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and applicable local regulations.
• Practical experience in building permit procedures, municipal submissions, and authority approvals.
• Good understanding of the requirements of municipalities, Civil Defense, and other relevant authorities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong experience in preparing, updating, and monitoring project schedules.
• Ability to analyze project delays and prepare recovery plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
