Join Legal & General's Technology Operations team supporting business-critical applications in the SCOPE and Maple environments.

What you'll do
- Support applications across the SCOPE and Maple environments.
- Investigate incidents using logs, SQL queries, stored procedures, and existing application code.
- Diagnose application, database, integration, and service issues; read and debug Java code.
- Manage incidents, problems, requests, and changes through agreed processes.
- Communicate service impact, progress, and expected resolution times to business stakeholders.
- Deliver fixes, enhancements, and preventative improvements; contribute to application modernisation and adoption of newer tools.
Who we're looking for
- Strong SQL skills, including queries and stored procedures; working knowledge of Java and ability to debug existing code.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications in production and knowledge of relational databases; Sybase is ideal.
- Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Clear communication, a proactive approach, curiosity, and willingness to learn unfamiliar systems and business processes.
- Relevant practical experience, a Computer Science degree, or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable experience
- Financial services, asset management, OpenShift, JBoss, ServiceNow, or an ITIL-aligned environment would be useful, but candidates need not meet every desirable requirement.
