Application Engineer II supports customer-specific solutions, existing accounts, new business opportunities, and customer relationships while developing technical expertise in the company's applications, systems, and products.
Customer support and growth
- Collect and summarize customer expectations for system and product requests, including deliverables.
- Listen to customer feedback, respond with informed solutions, and share insights with stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction.
- Support existing accounts, contribute to new business opportunities, and build customer relationships and networks.
- Adapt approaches to customer size and B2B models, including OEMs and distributors, and suggest suitable solutions.
Ownership and collaboration
- Complete assigned tasks, identify growth opportunities in familiar areas, and propose process improvements.
- Set goals within established guidelines, pursue objectives, seek help with challenges beyond expertise, and communicate obstacles.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support team success, adapt to change, and take part in self-improvement and new initiatives.
Qualifications
- Mechanical engineering background and at least 5 years of experience with mobile and industrial hydraulics systems.
- Effective communication with customers and team members in English and the candidate's native language.
- Ability to break down complex problems, understand customer needs, learn, and adapt to new challenges.
- Willingness to travel to customers for relationship building and tailored technical support.
- Ability to set personal goals aligned with team objectives.
Customer-site work
- Travel to customer locations for relationship building and tailored technical support.
