Role overview

Application and product engineering

• Build and maintain mobile screens, navigation, reusable UI components, forms, workflows, search, notifications, and application state.
• Translate product requirements into software through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Contribute to PopPop social and community features, Oneevolution civic participation workflows, PopBud voice and knowledge features, and Poppy robotics interfaces.
• Integrate APIs, authentication, data, real-time communications, AI services, databases, cloud infrastructure, and hardware interfaces as assigned.
• Participate in testing, bug diagnosis, security practices, version control, code review, documentation, release workflows, and product analytics.

Required and preferred skills

• Required: programming fundamentals, Git/GitHub, basic data structures and algorithms, API fundamentals, JSON, debugging, basic database understanding, and software development lifecycle.
• Preferred: Flutter/Dart, React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, Firebase, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, WebSockets, AI APIs, cloud deployment, and mobile application publishing.
• Possible technologies include JavaScript, Next.js, Express, Redis, AWS, LLM APIs, speech processing, and semantic search; the stack may change by project.

Candidate profile

• Demonstrate logical reasoning, problem-solving, debugging, product thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant fields of study are encouraged, but self-taught developers and candidates with independent projects are welcome; demonstrated technical ability is valued over academic credentials alone.
• Applicants are encouraged to submit a resume and GitHub or portfolio links, including a technically challenging project and an engineering decision made for it.
• A technical assessment may be part of selection.

Work arrangement

• The posting states hybrid remote in Pune, Maharashtra; it also lists M.G. Road, Camp, Pune as the location.

Pay

• ₹8,000–₹10,000 per month.
