Transforms raw data into structured, reliable, accessible models for analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
Works with data engineers to build scalable pipelines and with analysts to make data actionable.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain SQL and dbt data models; optimize queries and data processing.
- Support self-service analytics and business intelligence through well-structured data.
- Define data requirements and improve ETL pipelines with data engineers.
- Partner with analysts, data scientists, and business teams on analytical and reporting needs.
- Apply data quality practices; develop cloud-based transformations and automate validation and reporting.
- Monitor data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and promote documentation, testing, and version control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, technology, or a similar field; postgraduate study is a plus but not required.
- 3+ years of hands-on data modeling experience using dbt.
- Strong Python and SQL proficiency and experience with dbt.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses, for example Snowflake, BigQuery, GCP, or Redshift.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices for data workflows.
- Understanding of data engineering principles, including ETL/ELT.
