About Jerry.ai

Jerry.ai is a profitable, Series C, YC-backed technology company building an AI-powered advisor for physical assets.

The company began with car insurance and is expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and boat products.

Technical Challenge

The AI and Automation team automates insurance quoting and orchestrates multi-step transactions with external insurance provider systems.

The next-generation AI system will support document validation, stateful phone interactions, and direct navigation of external systems.

What You'll Own

  • Own the AI agents and automation system across conversational interfaces and backend workflow automation.
  • Shape the architecture for chatbots, voicebots, and computer-use agents as the platform scales.
  • Build automations for document validation, record disputes, and transaction orchestration with carrier systems.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technology and decide what to build and deploy next.
  • Partner with OpenAI on next-generation voice models and workflow automation.

Who You Are

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally with end-to-end ownership at an early-stage startup.
  • You can build independently without needing someone else to write the full specification.
  • You evaluate new models quickly and can explain why one architecture or approach is superior.
  • You have put LLM-based systems into production and understand evaluations, regressions, latency, cost, and failure handling.

Technology Stack

  • The stack includes TypeScript with Nest.js and React, GraphQL, AWS with ECS, EKS, and Lambda, and models from OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini.

Workplace and Eligibility

  • Jerry.ai is remote-first and also has offices in Palo Alto, New York City, Chicago, and Toronto.
  • The company hires full-time salaried employees in specified US states and Ontario, Canada, and full-time hourly employees in a subset of those locations.

Compensation

  • The compensation range is $160,000 to $210,000 yearly.
  • Additional compensation may include equity grants.
