Team and mission

Experience and collaboration

• The posting states seniority of 10+ years, including at least 4–5 years writing and running production code.
• Strong communication and collaboration are needed across engineering, architecture, business, product, operations, risk, compliance, and audit.
• The role requires influencing without authority, building credibility, and explaining trade-offs in plain language.

AI-assisted development

• Daily use of Claude Code or GitHub Copilot is required, along with spec-based development, AI-generated tests, skill-file authoring, prompt engineering, and MCP tool use.
• The candidate reviews agent output critically and understands where human judgment must remain involved.
• Hands-on Spec-Driven Development includes writing a precise, reviewable specification as the source of truth and generating implementation and tests from it.

Frontend and backend

• React is mandatory; frontend work includes TypeScript, component design, responsive UI, Figma-to-code, accessibility, and cross-browser behavior.
• Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x are mandatory.
• Backend technologies include Node.js, Python, microservices, database design and modeling, REST and event-driven APIs, OAuth2/OIDC, PostgreSQL, and Kafka or IBM MQ.

Delivery and operations

• Own service pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, GitOps, automated testing, and observability.
• The role includes on-call ownership of shipped services.

Additional experience

• Banking or regulated-financial-institution experience is a plus.
• Nice-to-have experience includes React Native, Apache Camel K, Flowable BPM, UAE banking domain knowledge, and CBUAE security awareness.
• Experience introducing developer platforms or engineering practices at scale, and public technical writing or speaking, are also nice to have.
