Adjunct Faculty- Dental Hygiene

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• The adjunct part time dental hygiene faculty person will: Remain current with RCBC Dental Hygiene teaching methodology, policies and procedures Provide hands-on guidance for clinical and educational information on oral hygiene care and health prevention. Participate in student evaluation and counseling Participate in preparation and selection of course materials including didactic, laboratory and clinical activities for students Participate in curriculum development, integration, evaluation and revision. Participate in outcomes assessment. Participate in retention of students. Participate in faculty meetings. Compliance with all federal, state and local regulations with regard to hazard communication, exposure control and quality assurance. Possess a demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and other members of the College community. Perform other related duties as assigned. OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community. INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required. Must be computer literate with ability to enter information into the RCBC Dental Hygiene Department EagleSoft program. EDUCATION REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences or related subject required EDUCATION PREFERRED Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Possession of a license to practice dental hygiene issued by the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Two years clinical experience as a dental hygienist Current CPR from the American Red Cross with Basic Life Support (BLS) FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS Computer literate, MS suites, Google Drive File Sharing and EagleSoft Dental Practice Management Software EXPERIENCE PREFERRED Three years clinical experience as a dental hygienist. Two years teaching experience in a Dental Hygiene Program at the post-secondary level.
