Accounts Receivable Analyst

Position Summary

Key Accountabilities

• Manage key accounts, daily cash application, debit-note backup, allocation verification, investigations, processing, and approvals.
• Investigate customer shortage, damage, and return claims.
• Approve credit notes and maintain receivables accounting transactions and account reconciliations.
• Generate customer statements and manage collection activities with Sales and Customer Service.
• Review weekly aging reports, contact customers about past-due accounts, and address nonpayment causes.
• Balance AS400 accounts receivable to the general ledger weekly and clear AS400 journals.
• Assist the Trade Spend team with fixed rebate deduction clearing.
• Improve accounts receivable processes through technology or quality improvements.
• Perform filing and other administrative duties and provide AR team backup and vacation coverage.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
• Three years of full-cycle accounts receivable or collections experience.
• Food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience is an asset.
• Experience with retail customer deductions, trade spend, and rebates.
• Knowledge of EDI, customer portals, and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Five-day onsite role.

Hiring Range

• Hiring range: CAD $52,438 to $62,220.
• Eligible for a bonus of up to 5% of base salary, subject to plan terms and conditions.
