Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented **Accounts Assistant** to support our Accountants Manager at our Dubai office.
The ideal candidate will have strong data-entry and bookkeeping skills, with basic accounting knowledge and familiarity with QuickBooks.
Experience
in manufacturing or construction-related industries—especially aluminium or metal works—is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily data entry tasks in QuickBooks, including posting invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
- Support routine bookkeeping activities such as filing, document control, and updating ledgers.
- Help with accounts payable and receivable tracking.
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports as directed by the Senior Accountant.
- Organize and maintain accounting documents for audits and internal reviews.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing spreadsheets, following up with suppliers/customers, and coordinating with other departments.
- Ensure documents are compliant with UAE VAT requirements.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles.
- Basic proficiency in QuickBooks (mandatory).
- Good understanding of UAE VAT processes (training can be provided).
- Strong organizational, filing, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work onsite at our Dubai office.
