We are urgently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with solid experience in the construction industry to join our team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate understands the financial complexities of construction projects — from contract billing and subcontractor payments to cost control and WIP reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Oversee project cost accounting, budget tracking, and variance analysis for multiple construction projects
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
- Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and report to senior management
- Handle progress billing, contract invoicing, and subcontractor payment certificates
- Ensure accurate WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and project profitability analysis
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external financial institutions
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure accuracy and deadline adherence
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax, and financial reporting standards
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams to align financial data with project milestones
- Support internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification preferred: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CA
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (WIP, retention, contract billing, subcontractor accounts)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax regulations, and IFRS
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Based in UAE or immediately available to relocate
