About This Role

Role Description

We offer a 7 months fixed term position for maternity cover as Accounting Assistant in JAFZA, Dubai at Stahl CraneSystems FZE.

This role supports our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations, handles routine accounting tasks, maintains financial records, provides administrative support, keeps books accurate, process transactions efficiently, and ensure the finance function runs smoothly as the company grow.

This role is key to ensuring timely month-end close, accurate vendor/customer data, and compliance with company policies and UAE finance regulations.

Key Accountabilities

  • **Core accounting operations:**
  • Daily transaction processing: Record all banking, sales, purchase, and expense transactions in the ERP system daily.
  • **Accounts receivable:**
  • Issue sales invoices, post customer payments, prepare monthly Statement of Accounts, and coordinate with Sales on collections
  • **Accounts payable**
  • : Process supplier payments per agreed terms after verifying complete supporting documentation.
  • **Bank reconciliation:**
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and formal reconciliation statements.
  • **Inventory transactions:**
  • Inventory oversight by validating warehousing transactions and ensure accurate recording of inventory movements.
  • Reconcile inventory monthly with Warehouse team support.
  • **Month-End closing**
  • : Post closing entries including amortization of prepayments, depreciation of fixed assets, advances, unrealized FX gain/loss, accruals, and provisions.
  • **Compliance, Audit & Tax:**
  • Audit Support: Compile documentation for internal/external audits and ensure IFRS compliance.
  • Maintain digital and physical filing of financial documents for audit readiness.
  • Assist in preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax, and ICV filings per internal policies and UAE regulations.
  • **Financial reporting support**
  • : Assist with monthly P&L and balance sheet preparation.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing: prepare schedules, prepayments.
  • **Administrative support:**
  • Respond to internal and external finance queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
  • Help improve finance processes, templates, and SOPs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance.
  • 3-4 years in a similar accounting role - at least 1 year in UAE.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, FACTS, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, FTA and UAE tax.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate with Sales &Warehouse teams.
  • Fluency in English, Arabic is an advantage.
