The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support the finance department with daily accounting operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for data entry, account reconciliations, maintaining financial records, and assisting with various accounting and administrative functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions into accounting systems.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and general ledger balances.
- Prepare and maintain accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Experience Needed And Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
