We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join a growing organization within the IT sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and ensuring effective financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on collections.
- Process supplier payments and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Ensure VAT compliance, documentation, and timely filing of returns.
- Support corporate tax compliance and related reporting requirements.
- Maintain banking transactions, reconciliations, and banking relationships.
- Implement and monitor financial controls, governance, and compliance procedures.
- Handle general ledger postings and month-end closing activities.
- Support import and export accounting transactions and documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support financial planning and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Previous experience within the IT industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and corporate tax requirements.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage the full accounting cycle.
