Job Description
Abu Alnaga Contracting L.L.C is hiring a highly experienced **Accountant** with a strong background in the **construction or contracting industry in Dubai**.
The candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, project cost control, and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, including VAT.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Oversee job costing and track project budgets, costs, and profitability for multiple active construction projects
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Process AIA billing / progress billing and manage subcontractor payments and lien waivers
- Monitor and manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules and over/under billing reports
- Assist with payroll processing, including certified payroll for prevailing wage projects where applicable
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, construction contracts, and internal financial controls
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and track change orders
- Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures specific to construction operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- **Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience** in a **construction or contracting company** in Dubai.
- Deep knowledge of **UAE VAT laws** and project-based accounting systems.
- Proficient in accounting software such as **Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems**.
- **Fluent in English.**
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
