Responsibilities
- Record and maintain transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, in line with accounting standards and company procedures.
- Prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements; provide financial indicators for management.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts, coordinate data collection across departments and identify potential cost savings.
- Manage payables and receivables, invoice payments, customer collections and account reconciliations.
- Assist with tax return preparation and coordinate with external tax advisers or auditors on compliance.
- Analyze financial performance, trends and variances to support management decisions.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits and work with auditors.
- Review accounting processes and systems and recommend or implement improvements to efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- At least five years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
