The accountant role calls for clear ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
Relevant experience is at least five years in accounting, including at least two years in the UAE.
Accounting experience and fit
- Strong preference for F&B, FMCG, trading, marketplace, distribution, logistics, or other high-transaction environments.
- Pure audit-only profiles are not suitable without strong in-house accounting exposure.
- Candidates must have hands-on Zoho Books or comparable ERP experience and be comfortable with Excel; Zoho Books is highly preferred.
Technical accounting knowledge
- Working knowledge is required of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, financial statements, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, provisions, AR/AP ageing, and month-end close.
- Candidates must demonstrate personal ownership by giving examples of problems they identified and solved.
Pay
- Pay is AED 8,000 per month.
Work location
- Work location is in person.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end closing.
- Perform reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare financial reporting and financial statements.
- Handle accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
- Monitor and manage AR/AP ageing.
- Identify accounting problems and personally work through practical solutions.
