Employment and workplace

• The role is full-time and based in Dubai, UAE; the stated work location is in person.

Accounting operations

• Manage daily accounting transactions, AP and AR, and preparation and verification of invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Record container sales, rentals, modification, transportation, storage, and project transactions; monitor receivables and overdue balances.
• Maintain supplier accounts, process supplier payments, reconcile bank, cash, customer, and supplier accounts, and maintain the general ledger.
• Monitor project, procurement, workshop, transport, and subcontractor costs; coordinate invoices, costs, purchase orders, and payments across departments.

Reporting, tax, and close

• Maintain transaction documentation and prepare monthly accounting and management reports.
• Assist with UAE VAT calculations, returns, and supporting documentation; maintain VAT invoices and tax records.
• Assist with payroll accounting, employee expense claims, month-end and year-end close, and petty cash and expense monitoring.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, suppliers, and customers; maintain audit-ready records and provide financial information to management.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two to five years of accounting experience; UAE accounting experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices, accounting software or ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and general ledger; attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Able to coordinate across departments, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred experience and skills

• Experience in trading, construction, contracting, manufacturing, fabrication, logistics, or project-based companies is preferred.
• Experience with project costing, inventory, supplier payments, customer collections, and VAT is advantageous.
• Listed skills include general accounting, reconciliations, payroll accounting, invoice and payment processing, financial reporting, Excel, and ERP/accounting software.

Salary and benefits
