Accountant responsible for accounting operations across more than 10 retail shops in Abu Dhabi.
The role requires managing multiple shop accounts accurately while working under pressure.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain sales, expense, cash, bank, and other accounting records for multiple retail shops.
- Monitor and reconcile daily shop transactions and resolve account discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and reports requested by management.
- Coordinate with shop staff and management on accounting matters.
- Maintain supporting documents and monitor receivables, payables, expenses, and other transactions.
- Handle UAE VAT accounting and assist with VAT returns, Corporate Tax requirements, and documentation.
- Work independently, meet deadlines, and perform other assigned accounting duties.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE retail sector.
- Experience with multiple branches or retail shops is preferred.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT is required; Corporate Tax knowledge is advantageous.
- Good Excel and accounting software skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, communication, organization, and independent working ability.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work under pressure.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 3,500–AED 4,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work is performed in person.
